Patricia A. Ondek
Ms. Ondek has been awarded ten Dwight D. Eisenhower Foundation, Title I Grants for the Advancement of Science and Technology. She is a certified SmartNet 2000 Support teacher and was the Director of Project OutReach. She served on many curriculum development committees, most recently the Language Arts Writing Program Committee for the Town of Fairfield. She served as a peer coach for her colleagues, developing a comprehensive writing program for students in grades 4 and 5.
Ms. Ondek has published 10 workbooks in conjunction with the SmartNet Program and Project Outreach. She has also written and illustrated an estuary nature guidebook. Additionally she has written several articles for Learning magazine. Ms. Ondek is now writing a book Magical Writes: Expository...Debunking the Myth and Demystifying the Illusion.(Scholastic press, in progress.)
In addition Ms. Ondek is an accomplished artist. Her interests vary from digital photography and Polaroid transfers to watercolors, which have been exhibited in galleries in Connecticut, New York, Florida, Texas, and Maine.
Ms. Ondek is also currently working for DiTa WeB DeSigN developing web sites for small businesses.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio; Central Connecticut State College) a Master of Science (University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Connecticut) and a 6th year degree in Education (Western Connecticut State University).
